The first hannibal lecter movie, manhunter is a brilliant horror/crime/thriller with a great cast and some truly creepy peformances. brian cox is great as lecter here, and plays him quite different to anthony hopkins, here hes more sinister in that, he could literly fit in anywhere, hes a true psychopath, not saying thats hopkins lecter isnt because he is hes just less subtle about the fact, the movie is very well made and written and has a good score, although I do think the remake is better, this is still a brilliant movie and I highly recommend.
