Review of Manhattan (1979) by Marc M — 10 Apr 2009
This is the third Woody Allen movie I've seen so far. I absolutely love his dialogue-driven films. It took a little while to warm up to the characters, but by the time the story really got going, I felt like I knew them very intimately.
The honesty of his storytelling, the depth of his characterization, and the acting quality the cast brings to the film is just fantastic. The scene with Allen at the tape recorder is especially memorable, as is the final scene with Mariel Hemingway.
