I'm re-rating this Woody Allen classic. I watched it several years ago the first time, and I don't think I watched it with the right eyes.

The things I missed the first time around, really helped me to enjoy it more the second time around. The humor, the extreme narcissism of Woody's character, which I imagine is closer to how he is in real life. The ability that he has to draw up these beautifully fucked up situations, and some ultimately wonderful drama. And some really great humor, dry and sticky.

The filmwork in this movie though, was beautiful! The black and white, the way he described Woody's character viewing the world, and his love for Manhattan. I really enjoyed the lighting techniques used, and was overall impressed with the way this movie was made, in all the physical aspects. Not my favorite Woody Allen movie, but it is definitely one of his better films.
