Review of Manhattan (1979) by Nicholas G — 05 Feb 2009
Neurotic, quirky, bizarre, funny. is there some kind of middle-aged jewish male fiction template out there somewhere? cuz watching this felt like reading a saul bellow novel. but it finds a way to be lovable and acceptable despite the 90-year-old allen dating a 5-year-old girl.
the black and white montage of nycityscapes at the beginning was beautiful.
