Review of Manhattan (1979) by Simon D — 21 Jun 2011
Bearing in mind that the story is predictable and the film is really about Woody Allens ego again. He is 90% of the dialogue and, of course, he has this strange ability to pull gorgeous women despite him being a dweeby little hunchback, but you still end up feeling sorry for him. On the upside, I noticed what a natural talent he has for acting in this film.
I think that Belle and Sebastian had this film in mind when writing Jonathan David.
