To be honest I really didn’t understand the story or motivations of the characters. Did it matter, no. The cheer love of all things 70’s and 80’s, the style, vibe, music and visuals made up for it.
It’s more an experience than a solid movie in that sense. Is it a good movie? Not really. But who doesn’t geek out of seeing a dual chainsaw fight with Nic Cage? It is inspired filmmaking that makes this movie worth seeing.
Next time I hope a better script is involved.
