Review of Mandy (2018) by Hankwmardukas — 28 Nov 2018
Nicolas Cage is an international treasure. Movies where Nic Cage is able to flex his acting muscles and prove to doubters he is actually talented are always films worth watching. Mandy is one of those movies.
About a lumberjack named Red (Cage), who exacts revenge on an evil cult called “The Children of the New Dawn” when they kidnap and murder Red’s girlfriend, Mandy, with the help of a demonic biker gang called "The Black Skulls”.
The world-building in this psychedelic horrifying trip of a flick is fantastic, but by far the movie’s outstanding highlight is its mind-blowing, next-level cinematography.
