Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Nandan T — 11 Feb 2017

I don't know what people see in this movie. I didn't think it was a 'bad' movie, per se. But certainly it didn't deserve six Oscar nominations. It felt good in the first half, but dragged in the second half.

There is little to none story in this film. Just an Uncle and his Nephew driving around in a car. Too much sexual content and swearing. The only good thing about this film was Casey Affleck's acting.

I hope he wins an Oscar for this. Other than that this was a boring and awfully slow film. Overrated as hell.
