Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Arun G — 17 Feb 2017
If I loved this movie despite its moody, slow screenplay, credit must go to Casey and co for making it appear as realistically grounded as possible and engaging as an excellent character study. The character sketches are deep and complete.
Kenneth Lonergan does a great job portraying different kinds of human emotions. The back n' forth timeline movement is effectively executed. This one should strike gold at Oscarville.
