Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Kathleen W — 13 Mar 2017
Really inspiring in that it gets away with a lot of shit you'd usually be told not to do. A lot of scenes that don't ""push the narrative forward"" but really make you feel like you've spent time in these lives.
Allowing people to just interact on screen, allowing people to deal with trauma and grief in an understated, ongoing way.
