Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Sawyer W — 16 Oct 2017

I thought the acting was excellent and the story was powerful. However, when I watch a movie, it's usually to escape and be entertained or uplifted. I like movies with a positive ending. This is one of those movies that resolves nothing and just leaves me thinking, "All that and he still ends up pretty much he was in the beginning".

I don't think its a story that needs telling if he just continues to say he "can't beat it". It's too much like real life for me, and I get enough of real life every day.
