Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Andrew K — 23 Mar 2018
I only warmed to this in parts. It took a long time to get to the gritty relationship between the uncle and the nephew, and similarly, until it was clear what he had run from. It finished with no resolution and was not engaging enough to compensate.
I did like the strong sense of the beauty and yet haunting nature of the place.
