Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Marcovelous — 05 Mar 2017
This film describes the post-family loss experience of Lee Candler (Casey Affleck). The way he's introverted and seemingly indifferent traits makes him such a memorable character. I guess that's how we all do. We pretend like it is nothing while our heart is broken, but you gotta do procedures and you gotta look after the remaining people. Yet you gotta still be strong, even if weak enough to have a mental breakdown. Nicely done movie. Although the story progresses really slowly, it's just a realistic reflection of how bad things stay in the reality like it's never going away. I'm feeling a light 9 on this film. Congrats on Casey getting his oscar.
Lessons learned:
1. Do not leave a fire unattended. Put on a screen when necessary.
2. Mind your head when using the fridge.
3. Take off your shoes before take off your pants.
