A moving movie that showcased outstanding performances from Affleck and crew (special note to Hedges) by allowing the actors to show off their ability in painfully long (in a good way) and tense screens.
Multiple times throughout the movie, long takes during difficult scenes highlight the amazing acting by everyone involved. Lonergan flawlessly takes you on a journey that keeps you tense and awkward (in a good way) throughout by exploring extremely dark moments that are lighted by sprinkles of witty and often awkward humor.
