Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Rémy V — 06 Mar 2017
The first 45 minutes of the film portrayed a sullen guy with no redeemable features. He was passive aggressive when he wasn't being aggressive aggressive.
Then we hear he's going to be guardian to his nephew, and I realised this was going to be a movie about redeeming the irredeemable; this sad git was going to turn into a lovable, cuddly Mr Nice Guy.
I thought about it.
For approximately 14 seconds.
I went home.
