Not sure Afleck should've won best actor for this. Slow start and confusing flashbacks. I don't like the fact that the character doesn't change from beginning to end. He goes back into his same old lifestyle.
But the display of guilt and not forgiving yourself and replaying the past mistakes, etc. was very relatable.
