Review of Man with the Screaming Brain (2005) by Jon C — 25 Oct 2006

I guess it was kinda dissappointing and it did smack of a man trying to do too much - write, direct, produce, deal with Bulgarian crews, make your feature directorial debut, act a part which is basically two parts and do a bunch of stunts & comedy to please all the fans all the time.

This is also one of its strengths as well, considering how busy Bruce was the year he made this and considering how busy he was making this, I think the movie grows and grows with each watch and I think it's a professional feature which would have more life and energy as an early Sam & Bruce Super 8 but manages to maintain enough of that for it to be good, watchable fun but not quite great.

However the bit where re runs through a crowd of children in his pjammies and the bit where he pours milk on his head, is excellent!
