Review of Man with a Movie Camera (1929) by Louise D — 01 Oct 2016
This is a fascinating documentary portrayal of a vanished world. However, it's so brazenly self-referential, from the title down, that it feels very fresh, even postmodern. The editing and range of shooting techniques are also stunning.
Worth an hour of anyone's time.
