Review of Man on Wire (2008) by William M — 02 May 2012
Saw this movie. If you never saw it you don't know what you are missing out on. It starts with Philippe Petit becoming a tightrope walker and doing several beautiful tightrope walks before leading up to his World Trade Center walk.
Inspired by the arrogance and the size of the Twin Towers he felt the need to do it. It also shows how his friends helped him all along the journey and how he worked hard to achieve his goal which was in the end to tightrope across the World Trade Center Towers at 1,362/1,368 feet up in the air with no net below.
However it was illegal and this caused him to be arrested. That was the saddest part besides him ending the act early. I would have loved it if it went on for several more hours longer so more pictures or even a video footage could have been captured.
