Jim Carey knocked this performance out of the park. This was the second year he was screwed out of a nomination and I believe those were the reasons he strayed away from drama, which is a shame because watching him bring Kaufman alive was a sight to see.
The film is a bit linear but never loses the zaniness that Kaufman was known for. Paul Giamatti also turns in a great performance here as Kaufman's manager and friend Bob Zmuda.
