It's a full hour before the kid is kidnapped. But no worries, because that hour is chock full of stuff. Stuff like Denzel opening and closing a bottle of whiskey, metal-video editing of cars in traffic, and of course Denzel teaching the girl how to swim.
It was maybe the most gripping hour of pre-action in an action movie that I can remember. approx 15 minutes of Denzel cutting off fingers and blowing up C4 inside corrupt cop rectums and roll credits.
Sucked.
