Review of Man on a Ledge (2012) by Nadja A — 22 Jun 2013
Very nice, taut, suspenseful thriller. Started out with a punch, and kept going. Foresaw from the beginning the major plot points: the dirty cops, the end game, the sympathetic girl cop, etc. But still, it kept my interest almost all the way through, until the climax and resolution, when things got a little too pat. Predictable, but I liked the ride.
Once again, the baddie is that old Hollywood standby, the rich entrepreneur. The irony never seems to hit home in Hollywood: who do you think funds your movies, dude? Oh, wait, I forgot, it's OK if they're Hollywood producers who finance the "art" that is cinema.
