Review of Man of the West (1958) by Gregory S — 21 Nov 2008
This is a really good attempt to make a gritty western; and there are some scenes in it which makes this film not a 'routine' western of it's time.
At first I was unsure about Gary Cooper's role in it but he plays it quite well as the man who has to to be tough and clever to stay alive.
The story is really good; maybe a few more action scenes would have made it better. But that aside it's a story about reform, changing your ways and good vs bad!
