Review of Man of Steel (2013) by Brian G — 06 Jun 2016
Even if the movie is spectacularly dull and unstimulating at times, Man of Steel gives a clear message to viewers who see beyond what their eyes fall victim to most blockbuster films these days, such as CGI, action, and large-scale destruction.
It's not easy to grasp a gritty, serious movie, but the allegories here to what Superman represents are very appreciable, to say the least. However; Man of Steel is tiring to view multiple times, because there are a lot of missed opportunities that could've been improved.
The characters could have been fleshed out more, while a little bit of charm or enthusiasm could be added to some parts of the film. Still, the first entry into a brand new DC cinematic universe can be enjoyed by anyone who has gone tired of what Marvel has to offer, but it just so happens it didn't go into greater heights.
