Review of Man of Steel (2013) by Lariste K — 09 Jan 2019
It's a bad film. Besides the impressive CGI scenes at the beginning, anyone over 14 (in fact anyone in general) will be left wondering how inept work by Snyder and his writers created such inanity onscreen: the pacing is OFF, support characters DIE without any reflection from the protagonist, and Superman's miscast FATHER keeps visiting after death as a meaningful hologram.
While these things on paper may work, kinda, they are jarring and sub-par on screen. Thumbs down also for: awful color grading, lack of characterisation, generic characters and situations, and basically a ton of VFX instead of a meaningful ending.
For some reason Clark Kent's real life support cast are unlikeable also. The IP sold truckloads for Warners, but the movie isn't worth torrenting.
