Review of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018) by Dukejon — 24 Jul 2018
A perfect feelgood movie. Lots of strong musical numbers, some excellent set-pieces and a strong supporting cast. The flashback scenes intersperse so well with the modern scenes you feel as though you're getting two films in one.
One sour note, I feel the "we're so sad that Sophie is dead" theme that permeated the movie put a needless downer on things. I am sure they could have reworked the story in a better way than this.
