Review of Mamma Mia! (2008) by Tara M — 07 Feb 2012
Mamma mia! The Movie.
Starring: among other people Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan.
There are some spoiler alerts, but not many, and no big ones. So, don't you worry about that.
And I have to say that the choreography to "Dancing Queen" and "Does your mother know?" especially, was exquisite. It was good, very good!
"Honey, honey", "Money, money, money", "Chiquita", "Dancing queen", "Our last summer", "Lay all your love on me", "Super Trooper", "Gimme, gimme, gimme", "Voulez-Voulez", "Does your mother know?", "slipping through my fingers all the time!", "the winner takes it all", "When all is said done", "take a chance on me", "mamma mia!"I have a dream" "Waterloo!", "Thank you for the music". All these great songs squeezed into one movie, a perfect fit to the storyline, which was brilliant by the way.
I just felt like I had to make this quote. I could not leave it out: "Great role models you are for Sophie. The serial bride and the little hermit over here." - Meryl Streep.
The characters were totally opposites, but they clicked like they were made for each other. All of them were a perfect match, from the guy down at the beach hitting on the so called "cougar" to the "fleeing" writer running away from another writer, just to end up with him.
Not many surprises since I've seen it as many times as I have. Yet, it is great every time I see it. And I can't help, but be surprised by the awesome 70's outfits in the casting and the amazing music throughout the entire movie.
"S.O.S." performed in the movie "Mamma Mia!" by Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep. Originally all songs from the movie is from the band ABBA Chapter of it's own. It was my favorite part of my the movie if I may say so.
Yes, this is indeed a good movie. And I have had a really good time watching it with my grandfather. I enjoyed it this time as well, even if I knew what was going to happen. I am giving it 8/10 stars this time.
If I have left out any songs, I am sorry, I liked them all. Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and all the other people who starred in the songs and the movie, they were all great. The storyline is just great. The ending was surprising the first time, but I might have seen it coming if I would have looked ahead a bit more than I did.
All in all this is a great movie starring some amazing actors and some incredibly good music. I highly recommend it! Highly!
Bon Soir! Beunos Noches! Guten Nacht! God Natt! Good Night!
Peace & Love.
God Bless.
