A good fun time if you like the music and the show. I don't think it will win over too many new fans but who cares it's not trying to. Amanda Seyfried is absolutely radiant as Sophie and Meryl Streep does a good job as her mom.
Pierce is unfortunately the weakest link in terms of singing ability (only 1 out of his 3 songs comes across strong), but he is a great fit for the part in all other regards. There are no real surprises with this movie, you will either love it or hate and it should be pretty obvious which way you'll lean before going in.
