Mamma Mia is bolstered by a stellar ensemble cast and may have a few zany, energetic musical numbers every now and then, but they're shamelessly wasted on a contrived, fluffy storyline that falls short on the talent it's trying to make the most of, and plummets due to an excessive amount of estrogen clogging up the script.
