Review of Mambo Italiano (2003) by Garrick J — 18 Feb 2009
This is a cleverly written movie, BUT I can't believe that in all of Canada they could not find suitable Italians to play the main roles. I spent much of the film gritting my teeth over terrible mangled italian from characters who were indeed supposed to be native speakers in the plot.
...also some serious time spent on correcting italian hand gestures (which are as important as the spoken word in the language) would not have gone amiss.
