Review of Mambo Italiano (2003) by Roxanne R — 09 Apr 2009
It was funny, cute and amusing! This ethnic and gay-themed comedy is set in an Italian neighborhood of Montreal. Angelo Barberini (Luke Kirby) is an unmarried young adult who decides the time has come to move out of the home of his conservative parents.
Then Angelo's friend Nino, a cop, moves in with him, and for a while the two men conceal the fact that they are lovers. But eventually the truth comes out, and there's a messy period of adjustment for all concerned.
For Angelo's parents (Gino and Maria), tradition is about to come undone, and family is going to take on a whole new meaning. Recommended!
