Review of Mama's Boy (2007) by Claudia A — 03 Jun 2008
Bit of a rum do this. Spent my Sunday night round at Higham's, for personal reasons, and so it was decided that Mama's Boy would get a viewing. Looked like straight-to-video muck at first, although the opening twenty minutes or so did contain one or two comical moments.
Particularly where he gazes upon his high school year book picture and it turned out to be the spits of my pal Jeff. But then you wouldn't find that amusing unless you knew Jeff. After that proceedings took on a ridiculously predictable turn as peg A slotted into hole B and so on.
You know the sort of film I'm on about, geeky kid comes good, gets the girl and rides off into the sunset. Lazy.
