Review of Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) by Claudia A — 01 Jun 2016
Once again, I am right and the critics are Wrong!
This is a fun, enjoyable movie, although darker than the first and less coherent, but duh people, that is what Lewis Carrol's "Through The Looking Glass" is all about. Like the first movie, it takes the essence of the books and makes a new story with it, uniting the modern with a Victorian aesthetic and keeps the hippy trippiness. I thought it was amazing, but you have to know Lewis Carrol and understand Victorian motifs. If you can't or won't be bothered, I think you can figure out a way to have th movie make sense to you. See it and enjoy the details but maybe don't bring any little kids with you.
