Mama has an interesting concept and a good set up. The movie definitely focuses more on the story than the scares, but the story is nothing that special. It's more developed and better paced than most other horror films, but it becomes predictable and there is no real tension. It just becomes slow and dull.

The film seems promising, but with it's lack of tension, dull story, no scares and absolutely horrible CGI effects, I would only recommend this if you're bored, and are looking for more of a supernatural drama, instead of a horror film. This movie just almost works, but falls short.
