Review of Mama (2013) by Thehoard . — 16 Jul 2015
Has the look/cinematography every horror film nowadays has, so nothing original or new there. The cgi is subpar but seems to be the usual for a run of the mill low budget film that this happens to be. They some how forced Jessica Chastain to be in this one, I guess to add some star power but even she as some alternative punk musician isn't really believable and can't do much to save the acting in this film.
The story isn't anything original and even comes off a bit pretentious. The director of this piece of garbage is the guy they just hired to do the "It" films that Cary Fukunaga walked from due to budget cuts.
Downgrade if you ask me.
