The tone of this movie skirts the line of campy really hard, but balances itself out well with moments of seriousness and good scares. The film is loaded with twists, and is a fun ride all the way to the end.
The acting can come off as kind of flat at times, but that appears to be by design rather than an oversight. A long overdue dose of escapism overall that is at least worth a watch.
