Review of Make the Yuletide Gay (2009) by Jared F — 25 Jan 2010
Surprisingly cute, funny, sweet, and romantic. I found myself laughing often and even smiling at the dilemmas that the main character, Olaf, finds himself as he spends Christmas with his parents and his boyfriend for the first time. Only problem is that Olaf is not out of the closet.
A cute coming-out film that does make you feel warm and fuzzy afterwards, and yes - even a bit hopeful. I haven't seen a gay movie in a while that made me smile and even shed a tear like this one has.
The main actor is definitely cute and the actors who play the mom and the dad are funny and charming in their own dorky ways. Two thumbs up.
