Review of Maid in Manhattan (2002) by Jessica G — 04 Jul 2010
It's a cute story, and basically another modernized version of Cinderella. It reminded me in part of Ever After because of the fact that they fall in love when he thinks that she is someone one else and then he doesn't do much to defend her when that is revealed and has to make the choice to give her a second chance.
The only part I really didn't like was the fact that "Cinderella" stays the night at the prince's house and it was totally unnecessary. Her kid is totally adorable and has a pretty important role in pushing the two of them together in the first place.
It's good enough to watch again, though I don't think I'll buy it.
