Review of Magnum Force (1973) by Tim M — 10 Jun 2008
Almost as good as the first film, MAGNUM FORCE is certainly an interesting flip scenario to DIRTY HARRY. With this go round, Harry actually finds himself siding with the establishment, as he battles a bunch of renegade, death-squad cops.
While not as heavy on style, MAGNUM FORCE is perhaps the most action-packed of the Dirty Harry movies, and was a big starter film for some then up and coming filmmakers (writers John Milius and Michael Cimino) as well as actors (a young Tim Matheson, David Soul, and Robert Urich all make appearances).
