Review of Magnum Force (1973) by Malice I — 16 Jun 2008
God I love these 70's flicks! They contain a level of grit you just don't see in mainstream movies anymore. I once read that this wa considered to be the best of the DIrty Harry movies. WHile I liked it, I still consider the first one to be superior.
The story for this one is interesting. It explores the same themes as the first one but from a slightly different angle. It's actually a pretty good companion piece to the first film. Lalo Schifrin's score is a great piece of 70's cop movie music.
My secodn favorite next to his score for Eneter The Dragon.
