Despite a few minor flaws, this is one of the few really worthy sequels of hollywood's history. sure, director ted post is no don siegel, and DIRTY HARRY is a modern classic and superior to this more digestible follow-up.
but the script by john milius and michael cimino is really strong and post a good-enough director to deliver its cleverness. last but not least, the showdown of MAGNUM FORCE is just very suspenseful.
