A Film That Is Truly Beautiful On All Levels. Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia is a film that will truly reach out and grab you. It is quite difficult to explain the plot because it is such a long movie but I don't mean that in a negative way at all.
The only thing that you need to know is that all of the characters are connected in some way and Strange Occurrences and Divine Intervention plays a key in uniting them all. The Performances of John C.
Reilly, Julianne Moore and Tom Cruise are the best performances of the picture. This film is a brilliantly crafted masterpiece that is really touching, and shows that human beings need to help one another and that we must forgive.
This Film should have gotten a Best Picture Nomination, a Best Director nomination and a Best Supporting Actor Nomination to John C. Reilly to go along with the 3 that it got for Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor (Cruise) and Best Song (Save Me- by Aimee Mann).
Alot of people are not fans of this movie but I am, and I really understood the true message of Paul Thomas Anderson's Visual Masterpiece.
