Review of Magnolia (1999) by Graham J — 18 Nov 2011
An emotional and complex character study film exploring crisis, forgiveness and the power of coincidence. I moved through variations of interest and boredom while watching this film and had I known that it was over 3 hours long, I probably wouldn't have chosen to watch it yesterday.
It felt extremely sad and depressed about most of the movie, but by the end there was hope for some if not most of the characters in some way. If you sit down for this one, get ready to endure 3 hours of hardcore emotional stress.
