It definitely was interesting, it was long so be prepared. I fell asleep watching it b/c I was really tired and I woke up and it was still going. I think this would have been a masterpiece if it just wasn't trying so hard to be different and artsy, some creative scenes worked and some didn't.

It jumped around a lot and was very random and sometimes messy like that droning way too-fast narrative in the beginning wtf? I particularly thought the frog scene was quite dumb and left unexplained in contrast to the creative singing scene.

Notwithstanding, the amazingly convincing acting with an allstar cast, the script, the shots, the details were all great. Cruise was a stand out, but really lots of great performances. I really liked the soundtrack and you can tell they edited the shit out of this film.

You can definitely watch this film over again because it has so much going on. I particularly liked the scene with Cruise and his father. Personally I like PTA Boogie Nights better, but this is similar in style and has some of the same cast.

That one guy from Fargo in this yet again plays a pathetic and desperate character you feel bad for. The movie is big on the theme of forgiveness, moving forward, and a sense of human relatedness, not sure what the title has to do with this.
