Review of Magnolia (1999) by Joseph B — 07 Dec 2011
A fascinating and compelling (but complex and profane) epic of interconnected stories of the effects of past sins, as well as troubling relationships, ultimate (at times, biblical-related) intervention, and forgiveness.
Impeccable performances. A well-crafted and well-directed screenplay - may be too much for some viewers, story-wise and content-wise. Sophisticated, nonetheless.
