Review of Magnolia (1999) by Freeman M — 31 Jul 2013
Magnolia is a beautifully-constructed and marvellous film that succeeds in being a quirky piece of storytelling with some amazing performances throughout, and Tom Cruise is surprisingly amazing!
Although it might have grown to be one of my favourite films, the film itself I would have to say is not PTA's best; his pornographic tale Boogie Nights and historical thriller There Will Be Blood both outshine this in many ways, yet that does not mean that Magnolia is any less of a masterpiece in indie drama and the colossus element of hyperlink cinema.
