Lord Ting Chung (Jackie Chan) is the leader of an elite group of bodyguards who are hired to escort the caravan of a woman and her dying brother throutgh a bandit-infested mountain pass in medieval China. He soon learns that all is not as it seems on the surface and that the lives of the magnificent bodyguards are expendable.
Also stars Peng Cheng, Kuo Chung Ching, Fang Fang, Yuen Hsu, Chiang Kao, Bruce Liang, Wen Tai Li, Ming Liu, Yasuyoshi Shikamura, James Tien, Ping Wang and Quen Wang.
