Review of Magic in the Moonlight (2014) by Todd P — 21 Sep 2014
Having seen and enjoyed 'Fading Gigolo' I was looking forward to this film expecting the same easy to watch fare and wasn't disappointed. The endearing quality of these Woody Allen films is in the cinematic approach which employs colourful characters, scenery and storyline.
It's a stage show for the big screen and is made simply to entertain with witty lines and a gentle yarn. The film doesn't seem to pretend that it's an award winning formula but is happy to tell its story without airs and graces.
