Review of Maggie's Plan (2016) by Bessie C — 13 Jun 2016

It's never boring and has a decent message, but overall it's not entertaining or consistently funny. Greta Gerwig and Ethan Hawke give good performances, but Julianne Moore's accent is distracting and it needed more development of its supporting cast.

I admired that its focus was on a woman gaining her independence, but that narrative is undercut by how much time the two female leads spend talking about the male lead.
