It's not enjoyable, but then it's not supposed to be. It's a film to be appreciated, and appreciate it I did. It's a tough watch, maintaining a mercilessly bleak and somber tone, but rewarding for its new take on the well worn genre.
It's essentially 90 minutes of a man meditating on his daughter's death. Breslin is very accomplished as the infected title character and Schwazenegger is surprisingly good. That voice really gets in the way of us seeing beyond the actor however.
